Day 2 - Thurs. - 12/27/18 - Milan to Turin and back to Milan
Our first stop was at the cemetery where St. Gianna Berretta Molla is buried with her husband and daughter. Many prayers were offered for the expectant mothers in our lives. We then made the drive to Turin with a quick stop for lunch. Arriving in Turin just after 3pm, we visited Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and then walked to the Basilica of Our Lady Help of Christians, a construction project St. John Bosco started by handing his architect eight cents and telling him Mary would build her own Basilica. We celebrated a 4pm private Mass and then had time to venerate St. John Bosco, St. Dominic Savio and St. Mary Mazzarello and then saw the 6,000 relics held in their museum. By God's grace, Christ was exposed in the Blessed Sacrament the entire time we visited. As we left, we had the opportunity to walk through an exhibit of some elaborate Christmas Creches. We then drove the two hours back to Milan for check-in and much anticipated first dinner together!
